I've been watching this year's world championships in the last few days, like I do every year.
But whenever I watch figure skating I feel that something is missing just because the 2 of you are not there anymore.
I am no expert but certainly love the beauty of the sport and to there was never a couple like the 2 of you.

I've just been on the European Championships which are held in Warsaw those day. I think that without you this sport isn't just the same. You brought an ART to it which is unforgattable and unrepeatable (though many has tried...)! After you stopped skating on those big competitions I stopped watching figure skating in general. When you were performing I loved to watch both dance & sport couples, but now the magic is gone. on peut comprendre qu'il faille avoir participé aux épreuves pour patiner au gala de clôture, mais qu'est ce qui empêche à d'autres patineurs de faire un mini show "avant les compétitions".

don't know if this page is still functioning since it seems like only old stuff on here, but just wanted to say that I FINALLY got to see you guys skate & although I didn't think it was possible, you are SO much better live than on tv!
I am in Lyon skating with Alain's team Les Zoulous for the year (we skated in the show at Courchevel - but please don't hold that against us) and I never thought that you would be skating here, let alone get to see you skate twice!

I agree with you. Marina and Gwendal are unique and simply unforgetable.They are my favourite champions.
I read somewhere that they are not going to participate in this year skating tour in France.
Perhaps they are not ready to come back to skating yet and that is really a pity.
I`m glad you like my home town.I agree it´s very special.I like to travel and I travel a lot but Porto is and will always be my "harbour and sanctuary"
Vitor Baia is very popular in Porto.People like him because he is very polite and is the symbol of the team
The supporters of the other teams don´t like him because they jealous.
The current national football coach that is from Brazil doesn´t want to include him in the natinal team.
Pleople here are very angry about that and they will never forgive him...

First of all I´m sorry I lost my temper. I was rude.
I don´t know that who that french person who wrote the last message is and personally, I don´t care.I realy don´t understand what you mean in that message. It´s your life. it´s up to you.
What I understand is that some french people are not nice. They are arrogant on purpose to foreiners and feel they are superior....Hopefully there are other french people who are nicer.

I´m sorry but I don´t quite agree.
There are people that are nice and there are people that aren´t nice everywhere.
As for Marina and Gwendal , they can´t possibly imagine the number of fans they have around the world. I think they repect them.But they are human beings too.Just don´t be too harsh on them. Surely they don´t deserve it .

I agree. They are unique.
I don´t think they have gone pro. I think they don´t want to leave France.
I´m not french, I´m just a fan from another european country so perhaps you had better wait from a more definite answer from someone french that is closer to Marina and Gwendal.
Meanwhile, I can only inform you that it seems they are still in France but they haven´t participate on galas lately. I think they they wish to stay away from the limelight for a while.

My favorite discipline in figure skating is easily ice dancing. In all my many years of enjoying this art/sport I can honestly say that no other skaters have reached the level of artistry and elegance as have A&P. It doesen't hurt of course, that they are both very lovely to look at, but that alone has nothing to do with their excellence. The way they carry themselves, the fluid grace with which they execute their elements, the unusual lifts in which she does the lifting, their canny ability to choose the perfect music and costumes for their programs... Believe me, I could go on and on. In every competition I have seen them in, I have felt that no other team posesses the grace, the style, the charm, the beauty, the ability, the talent, and the ability to transport me with their skating. They both are, in my mind, the closest thing to royalty that the discipline of ice dancing has ever been graced by. I have not seen them skate in quite awhile, I imagine they surely have gone professional, and I would love some information on where I can see them in the future. God Bless them both!

I'm watching the beginning of another skating season on TV and really missing Marina Anissina and Gwendal Peizerat. As far as I am concerned they are the most beautiful skaters to watch. It upsets me that bad people have done things and tried to connect it with this couple so that they don't perform here now. I would like to find videos of their past skating and hope to at least see them on televised events sometime.

I ´ve just found your message quite a short while ago and I´m glad to come across another Portuguese fan writing on the net about Marina and Gwendal. There is another one too, she sometimes writes in the forum of the site "Champions on the Web." Her name is Sandi and she lives in Lisbon.
Well, I´m very much inclined to agree with you. That was quite a shock!
I´ve also seen the photos you mention and actually it seems Marina has put on some weight
and in some of them Marina has " quite a belly.
However I´ve also seen some photos of Gwendal in the Cannes Cinema Festival with his current girlfriend...a french girl. I don´t know her name. Perhaps the fans in France do.Well , that´s not our business at all.
Well, I just want to say that perhaps,if by any chance , Marina happened to have a crush on Gwendal. or even love him, that must have been a terrible blow to her!!!
Well ,they have left us precious masterpieces ,magical moments, unforgettable performances...
I´ll never forget them as a pair and the magic they shared with us on te ice.!!
It seems Gwendal´s operation went on well.

I´ve just read on some French sites that Marina skated Solo yesterday in Japan . This came as a great shock to me. I can hardly believe Marina could do such a thing. I´ve been following Marina and Gwendal's career for years and I always thought they shared very strong and unbreakable bonds. It seems I´ve been mistaken all along. I´ve also seen some photos of Marina during the *Etoile de Glace* tour and I was under the impression that not only had she put on some weight but that weight could indicate that she was pregnant,perhaps in the middle of a pregnancy.Hoever I haven´t read anything official about such a possibillity. I only know for "sure" that Gwendal is injured and now Marina is skating alone. I think they should come forward and tell their fans what really is going on. C'est vrai que Gwendal était très bien dans Fort Boyard, ...comme d'hab en fait! Finalement, il l'a réussi l'épreuve du mur d'escalade, j'étais sûre que la "surprise" serait bonne! (hein les filles?!!...)
J'espère qu'il va bien profiter de l'Himalaya, et surtout qu'il va faire attention à lui!!!
Je souhaite aussi de bonnes vacs à Marina, qu'elle se repose bien...

Grand Festival Grand a Sighisoara!!
It's show time!!
Le Festival arrive ~~ et en meme temps une grande pluie medievale ~~ pour sortir cette petite ville de son ennui seculaire. Ils arrivent les festivalistes! Voila "La Perle de la Transylvanie" bien envahite par d'innombrables jeunes de tous les quatre points de la Terre, soit qu'il neige, soit qu'il pleuve ils viennent, viennent, viennent!! Pour sauver la pauvre ville de sa vie monotone, Oui, Merci!! Quel siege!! Ca nous rappelle un peu les invasions d'il y a quelques siecles. Aujourd'hui, plus animee et medievale que jamais, la ville dit Bienvenus and Welcome a tous!!
Musique, theatre, danse du Moyen Age s'annonce bien, que c'est beau!! A moins qu'il ne pleuve, car il pleuvait serieusement hier soir, les pauvres menestrels! Et meme maintenant aussi le temps est a la pluie

C'est vrai que Gwendal a été super brillant dans Fort Boyard, il a vraiment assuré, j'espère juste que son épaule va mieux, mais s'il a pu continuer c'est que ce n'est pas trop grave..., enfin cela dit, ça fait super mal de se déboiter l'épaule...
Autrement, Marina a été super aussi en traductrice pour le tour de France, même si cela n'a duré que peu de temps, en tout cas, je trouve cela géniale de l'entendre parler sa langue maternelle, c'est vraiment super à l'oreille...

Je suis rentrée de vacs hier soir pour voir Gwendal à Fort Boyard (ordre de regarder!! lol), et j'ai trouvé vraiment pas mal!! lol Il m'a bien fait planer!! Le grand écart sur le mur, c'était pas mal!! lol Par contre, j'ai eu un peu peur pour le coup de l'épaule...
Sinon, les filles c'est dommage, va surement falloir attendre le mois de septembre pour que je puisse refaire ma ........ à la patinoire!! lol!! Enfin Virg, je pense qu'on sera prêtes pour Turin!!
Bon, je vais y aller, je repars demain (pas au même endroit malheureusement!), et je serai pas de retour avant un ptit moment!!

Pas de méprise mais de la colère, le canada a eu les mondiaux en 2001, dès 2006 il les a encore, mais ce n'est rien comparé au Etats Unis (d'ailleur j'ai remarque que Kwan exception faites pour Nice a toujours été sacré en terres conquises (amerique du nord)).
Prenons une periode au hazard! 1990-2003:

Si je compte bien ca fait 6 fois en 13 ans! fort kan meme... Alors oui j'en ai marre de voir les mondiaux tout le temps dans le giron de la puissante amerique. Moscou aura en 2005 les premier mondiaux de l'histoire de la russie! un comble et encore il a fallut faire des sacrifice pour l'arraché au americains (certain disent que la victoire de sale pelletier avec la voix du juge russe en 2001 fait parti de ses sacrifices).

Où t'as appris que les mondiaux de 2006 seront au Canada? Car, ici, j'ai cherché dans quelques sites de sport canadien et je n'ai rien trouvé! Dans quelle ville? Si c'est Montréal, je saute de joie!:))))
Et, tu dis ENCORE au Canada...pourquoi? De un: c'est un pays d'hiver, donc, parfait pour des mondiaux de patinage. De deux, les deux mêmes pays (Canada et USA) reviennent mais...il y a seulement 2 pays en Amérique qui peuvent organiser ces mondiaux...à moins que l'amérique du sud aille un engouement nouveau pour le patinage mais...ça m'étonnerait!;)
Si je compte, le Canada et les USA ont les mondiaux aux 5 ans. Difficile de faire de même pour la France ou un autre pays d'Europe, car, je ne t'apprend rien, l'Europe a beaucoup plus de pays susceptibles d'organiser les mondiaux sans compter la Chine et le Japon. Ceux quichoisisent les lieux s'efforcent d'être juste, je crois. Quoique, pour la Russie, je suis contente qu'ils les organisent, finalement. Cette méprise devait être effacée.
Quant aux JO...souhaitons que les magouillesSalt-Lake City 2002, Turin 2006 et Pékin 2008) soient terminées. Vive Vancouver 2010 et Vive Paris 2012!

les championnats du monde 2005 seront bien à Moscou (faut que je me débrouille pour y aller!!), sinon, les championnats d'Europe 2005 seront à Turin (encore Turin!). Enfin, c'est tout marqué sur le site de l'ISU. Et le top jump est à Lyon cette année!!

Pour changer de vos discussion habituelle qui n'ont pas grand chose a voir avec Marina et Gwendal, sachez que les Championnats d'europe 2006 seront a paris, a trois semaines de JO ca sera un grand spectacle surtout pour la danse!
Les mondiaux de cette meme année seront encore au Canada, c'ezst une honte de donner au nord américains les mondiaux un an sur deux, y'en a marre!
Quand aux mondiaux 2005 on ne sait toujours pas s'il seront en Russie, ce qui serai normal puisque c'est depuis quarante ans la premiere nation de ce sport et qu'elle ne les a jamais eu... pas comme colorado springs qui les a eu deja six fois (et qui a la fuinale du grandf prix de l'an prochain!).
